2011/2012; Mr Owen has recently secured a grant via The British Council to visit The Anugrah Foundation in India on a School Exchange Programme. The British Council supplies funds for flights, transport and Visas for each recipient but Mr Owen must cover any other expenses he incurs.
Mr Owen plans to visit India for one week and then an exchange visit is planned for Mrs Simmi Kher from The Anugrah Foundation to visit Allonby Primary School later in the year.
The Anugrah Foundation runs a non-formal school for underprivileged children from the Basti of Bharat Vihar, in Dwarka, where they aim to transform the children's lives by giving them the power of the pen and the strength of the spirit.
